Stadium style and this weekend's games

So a part of me was just being lazy, but a part of me was also waiting until after tonight's Monday Night Football game, between the 49ers and the Saints, to post about this weekends block of games.

Anyway, the Raiders won, and that made me happy.

We finally benched Jason Campbell, and put in Bruce Gradkowski, and all of a sudden the Raiders looked like they had an offense.

Gradkowski, did an excellent job of anticipating receivers coming open, and delivering balls on time on all the timing routes. He's also much more adept at extending plays from within the pocket. The team seems to respond to him--on both sides of the ball--and he definitely needs to stay the starter.

The 49ers meanwhile, (all of my friends favorite team) played good enough to win, but made too many costly mistakes. Alex Smith looked like a legitimate NFL QB, especially during that two minute drill, but unfortunately the D didn't get it done when it had too. The 49ers did such an excellent job of using different pressure packages to throw off Drew Brees and the Saints O, but when it mattered, seemed to just fall apart.

It's okay though, because it looks like Bay Area football might finally be back on the rise.

Interestingly enough though, I regretted not bringing a camera to the Raiders' game on Sunday, because I missed a grand street style photo.

While I was walking up to the stadium--away from a glorious tailgate--I spotted an a-typically dressed Raider fan. The dude was wearing one of those vintage NWA style Raider jackets, black skinny jeans, a black almost U-neck t-shirt, and a pair of Comme de Garçons Play Converse sneakers. He also had a pretty cool top knot hairstyle, with some Buddy Holly style glasses, and a thick beard. Unfortunately, my lack of a camera will leave this post without a cool image of the dude.
